We all go to heaven - Don't we?

Well actually, No! Not necessarily.
Let me tell you a story...
A couple of miles from my house there used to be a school. In fact the school is still there but at one time I had connections with the school and used to visit it regularly. During the course of my visits I got to meet and know some of the 700 children at the school.
There were boys and girls, in all shapes and sizes. Some of them were really brilliant. They produced excellent work that was well presented and earned high marks. Some children were not at all clever and their work was often poor and badly presented. Many worked hard for their grades while others were lazy. Some were good looking, and others were not. Some dressed well and kept themselves clean and tidy while others were messy and dirty. Some were polite and kind while others were rude and unhelpful. In fact the pupils at the school represented the whole cross section of people generally.
Yet out of these 700 children only three had an absolute right to come into our house, eat the food on our table, sleep in our beds and generally be at home in our house. What was it that marked these three out from all the rest that they should have this wonderful privilege? Well, of course (you are ahead of me), these three are my children!
Not only could they come into my house and enjoy all it's benefits, but they could still do it on those days when they were disciplined for breaking school rules, or failed an exam. Of course I wanted them to be good, and polite, and clean, and hard working and as successful as they could be, but whatever happened they could still come home for tea, and a loving hug, not because they were good or bad, but because they are related to me and my home is their home.
Do you see the point? Heaven is God's home, and those who have the right to go there are God's children. Of course God wants his children to be good, to keep his laws and live the way he has told us to, but getting into heaven is based on our relationship to Him, not on what we have, or have not, done. It makes no more sense that we should "all go to heaven" than that the whole school should come home for tea, or that you could come to live with me just because you passed an exam.
The Bible says a lot about what we should and should not do. But it is also clear that we should do them because we are part of His family and love God - not because we try to earn anything. So your next question might be
